Mona Bontty is a highly accomplished emergency management professional with an illustrious 32-year career building more inclusive, safer, and resilient communities. She is currently a Senior Associate with Constant Associates, an emergency management consulting firm headquartered in Torrance, California. She provides subject matter expertise to a portfolio of emergency management projects for all levels of government that span disciplines such as emergency operations, disaster recovery, mitigation planning, and continuity. In her role at CONSTANT, Mona leverages her cumulative years of experience spent in key positions with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI). At Cal OES, she directed a Region Emergency Management Program for one of nation’s largest populated areas, Southern California, leading response to and supporting recovery from more than 55 disaster activations. With CSTI, she served as a subject matter expert and instructor for workforce readiness emergency management courses, facilitating and leading over 100 courses.  Mona’s commitment extends beyond her professional roles, as she previously served over 10 years on the Institutional Review Board for California State Los Angeles and was a founding Board Member of California Women in Homeland Security. She holds a BA in psychology from UCLA and an MBA.
